The Brand
XU ZHI is a luxury fashion brand with a contemporary attitude towards aesthetics and craftsmanship, founded in London in 2015 by designer Xuzhi Chen.
The brand is dedicated to capturing and depicting the cryptic power in the life experiences, exploring the intricate relationship between softness and strength, complexity and simplicity, restraint and release, and the infinite tension of emotions. We encourage people to pursue the wonderful coexistence of sophistication and romance, and to uncover the extraordinary spirit hidden in ordinary scenes.
XU ZHI devotes in material reconstruction and technique innovation. The brand's symbolic fringe and braiding techniques fuel the garment with emotions and enable the traditional craft of yarn weaving to shine an avant-garde spirit through a unique design aesthetic.
The Designer
Xuzhi Chen graduated from Central Saint Martins with a bachelor ‘s degree in womenswear and began his career as a fashion designer at J.W.Anderson and Craig Green.
In 2015, he established his own fashion brand XU ZHI in London. With its exquisite design and unique craftsmanship, the brand has received unanimous recognition in a short period of time. The designer has been nominated for the LVMH Prize, International Woolmark Prize, H&M Design Award and many other significant awards within the industry.
Xuzhi Chen was nominated by the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list and 2018 BOF 500.
